Terms of Use

These terms form an agreement between you and CrowMate when you access or use the service.

1. Eligibility and acceptance

You must be at least 13 years old and legally able to agree to these terms. If you use CrowMate, you accept these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

2. Your account

Provide accurate information, protect access to your selected Apple or Google sign-in account, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity performed through your account. One person may not impersonate another person, automate account creation, or use an account to manipulate future rankings or rewards.

3. What CrowMate provides

CrowMate provides tools for general movement tracking, habit building, personal progress, and a virtual Crow experience. Features may depend on device hardware, iOS permissions, network access, and third-party platform availability.

4. Health and safety

CrowMate is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Sensor readings and calculated steps or progress may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Use good judgment, remain aware of traffic and surroundings, follow applicable laws, and consult a qualified professional before changing activity if you have a health concern.

5. Acceptable use

You may not misuse CrowMate, attempt unauthorized access, disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected service components where prohibited by law, introduce malware, scrape or automate the service without permission, falsify movement data, evade security controls, infringe rights, or use CrowMate for unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent activity.

6. Ranking reports and review

You may submit a good-faith report about a ranking that appears inaccurate or manipulated. A report requests internal manual review and does not automatically remove movement, change a ranking, restrict an account, or prove misconduct. Do not submit knowingly false, retaliatory, duplicative, or abusive reports. We may limit reporting access when reasonably necessary to prevent abuse.

7. Your content and feedback

You retain rights in information you submit. You give CrowMate a limited permission to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

8. CrowMate rights

CrowMate and its licensors retain all rights in the application, website, brand, Crow artwork, software, and service content, excluding content you own. These terms give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for its intended purpose.

9. Changes, suspension, and termination

We may modify features to improve or secure CrowMate. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, comply with law, investigate misuse, or enforce these terms. You may stop using CrowMate, sign out, or permanently delete your account at any time.

10. Subscription

CrowMate may offer an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store. The paywall shows the price, billing period, and trial eligibility when applicable. You can read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy on the sign-in and Account screens. Apple processes payment and manages cancellation, renewal, and restoration through your Apple Account.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrowMate is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or perfectly accurate sensor, synchronization, or progress data. Consumer rights that cannot legally be waived remain unaffected.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CrowMate will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, opportunity, profits, or goodwill arising from the service. CrowMate's total liability for claims relating to a free service will not exceed US$100. This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law.

13. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer this agreement without our consent; CrowMate may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of the service. Applicable mandatory consumer law and the courts that have lawful jurisdiction over you remain available.

14. Changes and contact

We may update these terms as CrowMate changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when legally required. Questions: hello@crowmate.com.
